SaNouk's Lao & Thai Eats in Plaistow, NH, is a hidden gem that delights diners with its authentic Lao and Thai cuisine. Customers rave about the freshness and authenticity of the dishes, praising the restaurant’s dedication to using high-quality ingredients without compromise. As David Nitchman noted, every dish is prepared individually, enhancing the sharing experience among friends and family.
Jose Cruz highlights the intimate atmosphere, where the family-owned vibe shines through exceptional service. The owners take personal care to ensure each diner feels valued, making it not just a meal but a memorable experience. Frank Merrick appreciates the flavors, mentioning his favorites, Beef Pho and Pad See Ew, describing them as "delicious beyond description." The portions are generous—definitely enough for two meals!
While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, one guest pointed out some service hiccups, indicating possible areas for improvement. Nevertheless, the overwhelming sentiment remains: SaNouk's is a must-visit for those craving authentic flavors in a cozy setting. As Vanda Chau expressed, this restaurant is a welcome find for many who seek genuine Lao and Thai experiences right in their neighborhood.

Really excellent food! Very fresh and feels very authentic. Hosts are super friendly. Each dish made individually and came out one at a time. Just share and it doesn’t matter! The addition of Laotian food is refreshing.

If you’re looking for an authentic, family-owned restaurant serving incredible Lao and Thai cuisine, this little spot in Plaza, New Hampshire, is a must-visit. It’s a small and personal space—not a place for large parties or a bustling bar scene—but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in quality and charm. The food is nothing short of outstanding—some of the most authentic Lao and Thai dishes I’ve ever had. Every bite was a testament to their dedication to traditional flavors and high-quality ingredients. What sets this restaurant apart, though, is the exceptional service. The family that owns and operates the place goes above and beyond to make every diner feel special. Their attention to detail, personal touches, and genuine hospitality—stopping by every table to ensure everything is perfect—create an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re craving authentic, no-frills Lao and Thai food in a cozy, family-run setting, this restaurant is the place to go. It has quickly become my favorite spot for this type of cuisine. Highly recommend it!

My wife and I just got back from eating here for the first time. It won't be our last. It's our new favorite restaurant! I got the Beef Pho, and my wife got the Pad See Ew. Both were delicious beyond description. And huge proportions, all reasonably priced. You will get two meals out of the entrees, for sure! The owner, Mama Lao, took the time to explain to us her philosophy of being kind to everyone while serving only the most authentic Lao and Thai dishes. She said it was her goal to duplicate the experience of eating in a restaurant in Laos or Thailand itself. So, you won't see the types of decorations and colors (Buddhas, yellows and reds) you might see at similar restaurants in the US, because you would not see that in Laos or Thailand. She also says she does not compromise on ingredients, even if they are not readily available in the US, and substitutes would be cheaper. Mama Lao clearly has a big heart and cares about her customers and the experience she is delivering. I'm already dreaming of my next visit. I only wish they had a frequent diners club, because we will surely be that!

No complaints about food. It seems authentic and it was delicious. The workers were really nice, but there was this chaotic energy when we dined. One of the staff sat us without handing us the menu, took awhile to come around to take our order and when we asked for water, they gave us bottles of water and charged us for them and forgot the rice with one of our orders.

Great service and awesome authentic food ! I’m from Cambodia and our food are very similar and tasting was spot on for us !!! Price and proportions are great! We’ve been looking for an authentic place since we moved up north, and now we have it , 10 mins from home . The owner was very friendly and chef checked in with us as well !! I will be recommending this place to all my friends , our first and will not be our last !

I have eaten at a lot of restaurants across the country and this was the best experience I’ve ever had. We were in the area for a college graduation and had put in a large take out order and upon picking it up we learned there was going to be a wait. What set SaNouk’s apart was how they handled that wait. The restaurant was extremely busy with takeout orders and dine in guests, which speaks to the quality of food, leading to the wait, which was actually enjoyable. The employees were super kind and worked hard to ensure your experience was pleasant. From timely updates about your order, to the head chef knowing customers and addressing everyone by name, and finally ensuring your order was perfect, lead to a relaxed and kind atmosphere. All of the other customers waiting for food were extremely kind and patient and super appreciative of the staff and the amazing quality of food they produce. What set the bar, was when the chef came from the kitchen and asked me to try the food (had asked for a dietary restriction) to ensure it was to my liking prior to finishing off and packing up the dish. He was so passionate about his cooking that he wanted to let us know that we should call if anything was not to our liking and let them know how everything was. I am now taking the time to say that everything was amazing and delicious! If you are looking for fantastic Thai and Lao food or just amazing food in general be sure to stop by SaNouk’s! A lot of times customer service is poor or neglected in such a fast paced environment, but the amazing staff at SaNouk’s focuses on high quality service and food that has customers leaving with a smile on your face! We will definitely be returning for the incredible food and customer service!

Amazing Thai restaurant with great food. Pretty small menu but everything we had was made well. Initially hard to spot the restaurant becuase the name is only on the window but it's there. Small restaurant that offers dine in and take out. My buddy and I were seated right away by the very nice host and also took our order. My friend is vegetarian and the staff went out of their way to make it vegetarian friendly by excluding fish sauce from his dish. He said it still tasted amazing. Spring rolls were great and my basil fried rice was just spicy enough. The staff here are all family and everyone came to greet us individually and check up on us. Truly a wonderful family business they got going here. Great food and great people. What more could you ask for? If you want authentic Thai food, definitely give this place a try

This place was amazing. The workers were all very attentive and wanted to make sure we were enjoying everything. The food was incredible and she even gave us a Lao dessert called woon that was made with super fresh coconut and tasted incredible. It was an amazing pallet cleanser sweet but not sticky sweet. Delicious. You need to go here if you want authentic Thai and Lao flavors.
